Her name is Mamatha Meka McDaniel. She is from India originally, but has been in Minnesota for most of her life. She loves photography. She has been capturing concerts, nature, and travel as well as documenting the lives of her family and friends, for a long while. She loves to capture the amazing little moments and the amazing big moments as they occur in their lives. Working in both color and black & white, her photojournalistic style is modern and distinctive with a timeless, classical edge, with a focus on details using natural light.

With children, she seeks to capture that shy smile, the big eyes filled with emotion, the sweetness, the innocence. She will not ask them to smile. She wants to capture them as they are, beautiful and unposed.

With family portraits or engagement photos, her aim is to capture the relationship without poses or artificial lights, just casually elicited pictures of the love that is felt. She also seeks to go unnoticed when she is doing events. While you are enjoying the party, she would be the fly on the wall. Observng the moment, clicking away at the people laughing, eating, enjoying. Whether it is a child's first birthday, a baby shower, or a bridal shower.

She remembers her wedding day, and all the different things that she had planned but was too busy to notice for she was, well, getting married! Her style would be to capture the moments that you have planned as well as the things that you did not notice. The emotions of your family and friends, as well as the beauty of the details that you planned so much for, the flowers, the colors, the cake and your dress.
